Objectives

In this unit, students will gain understanding of the importance of different materials and tools we use. Students will:

·         identify natural resources that we use.

·         compare products that are made from natural resources.

·         differentiate between renewable and nonrenewable resources.

·         develop methods by which humans can conserve natural resources.

·         identify building materials and tools.

·         identify basic resources needed to produce a manufactured item.

·         differentiate between tools that help humans do work efficiently.
